Live an Adventure

Travel and Life Blog

About

Peatrowsky Passport has been a fun idea for me for a while. Initially it was going to be a travel blog, however in 2020, the world – and my idea – shut down. Peatrowsky Passport then turned into an idea of being purposeful about finding joy every day while at home, traveling, cooking, or eating out, as well as looking forward to the big moments we typically think of as “adventures.” I believe that every day should be an adventure and I hope to reflect that in this blog.

Peatrowsky Passport will share tips and tricks learned, the cost (with real numbers), destination reviews, food reviews, and so much more. There will be stories of explorations close to home and how to find your own near you.

Meet the Family

Sami

I’m the creator of this crazy idea. I love exploring all that this wonderful world has to offer. Once I find a topic or activity that interests me I am all in, there is no half-way with me (for better or worse). I am a self-proclaimed Potter-head and am getting back into being an avid reader (children and school put a damper on reading for fun). I love cooking and baking and sharing what I create with friends, family, and coworkers.

I have been an education program manager for almost 10 years. In that time I have gotten married, had 2 kids, started my Master’s Degree, and found myself falling more in love with travel, which leads me to being here.

When I travel, I want to learn as much as I can about the place I’m going and see as much as I can when I am there. This tends to lead to me going to the same destinations repeatedly, but I have so many places on my list that I have to fight myself (sometimes unsuccessfully) to go to new places.

Kevin

My husband, Kevin, puts up with my Type A personality and is much more “let’s see how it goes” in his (lack of) planning on trips.  We met in 2009 and married in 2014. He serves in the Army National Guard and currently works for as a trainer for a software company for his civilian career.

AJ

AJ was born in 2016. He is extremely smart, throws out the most random facts all the time, and loves school. He asks about taking trips to different places and recently asked if he can go “across the ocean” sometime.

AM

In 2020, our daughter AM joined us. While she is still small (only 4 right now), her personality is not. She is bold, sassy, always on the move, and has no fear. I am excited to see her grow and see where her adventures take her.
